Waukesha, Wisconsin

Welcome, Neighbor

We’re Tyler and Brady, two brothers who have spent the last six years bringing Waukesha County firewood that lights fast and burns clean. We believe good business starts with clear expectations. That’s why we wrote these Terms and Conditions in plain language.

This page explains how ordering, delivery, payment, and refunds work, plus what you can expect from us and what we ask of you. Please read it before you place an order. If something isn’t clear, just reach out. We’re always happy to talk it through.

When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean kilndriedfirewoodnearme.com and the people who run it. When we say “you,” we mean anyone who visits our website, places an order, or uses our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, placing an order, or accepting a delivery, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our website or services.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the authority to accept delivery at the address you provide.

2. Our Products and Services

We sell and deliver kiln-dried firewood to homes, businesses, and restaurants in Waukesha County and nearby areas.

About Our Firewood

Every batch is dried in our kiln under controlled heat to reduce moisture and help eliminate pests. We inspect our wood before it leaves our yard, and we stand behind its quality.

Still, firewood is a natural product. Please keep these points in mind:

  • Natural variation: Pieces will vary in size, shape, color, bark, and wood species within the hardwood blend you order.
  • Moisture levels: Kiln-dried wood can absorb some moisture after delivery, especially if stored outside or uncovered. We recommend storing your wood off the ground and under cover.
  • Product photos: Images on our website show typical examples. Your actual wood may look a little different.

How We Measure

We sell firewood by standard volume measurements, such as a full cord (128 cubic feet of tightly stacked wood) or a face cord, as listed on our website. Product descriptions will tell you exactly what each option includes. Loose, unstacked wood takes up more space than stacked wood, so a delivered pile may look larger or smaller than you expect before it’s stacked.

Product Availability

Our products depend on seasonal supply and demand. We may limit quantities, change offerings, or stop selling certain items at any time. If something you ordered becomes unavailable, we’ll contact you to offer a substitute or a full refund for that item.

Moving Firewood

Some parks, campgrounds, and areas have rules about bringing firewood in from elsewhere to prevent the spread of invasive pests. If you plan to take our wood beyond your property, it’s your responsibility to check and follow local and state firewood rules.

3. Ordering and Payment

Placing an Order

You can order through our website, by phone, or by email. When you order, you agree to give us accurate and complete information, including your name, phone number, delivery address, and any special instructions.

After you place an order, you’ll receive a confirmation. This confirmation means we received your order. It doesn’t guarantee acceptance. We may decline or cancel an order for reasons such as:

  • The delivery address is outside our service area
  • The product is out of stock
  • There’s an error in pricing or product information
  • We suspect fraud or unauthorized activity

If we cancel your order, we’ll let you know and issue a full refund for any payment you made.

Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Prices may change without notice, especially during peak heating season. The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order.

We work hard to keep our website accurate. If we spot a pricing mistake, we’ll contact you before processing your order. You can then confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Payment

We accept [list accepted payment methods, such as major credit cards, debit cards, and cash on delivery]. Payment is due [at the time of order / upon delivery].

Online payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. We don’t store your full card number on our systems. Applicable sales tax will be added to your order as required by Wisconsin law.

4. Delivery Policies

Service Area

We deliver within [describe service area, such as Waukesha County and select parts of the greater Milwaukee area]. If you’re not sure whether we reach you, give us a call before ordering.

Delivery Fees

Delivery fees, if any, are based on your location and order size. Any fees will be shown at checkout or confirmed with you before delivery.

Scheduling

We’ll work with you to choose a delivery date and time window. We always aim to show up when we say we will. However, delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Weather, road conditions, heavy demand, or equipment problems may cause delays. If we’re running late, we’ll let you know as soon as we can.

Your Responsibilities at Delivery

To make sure your delivery goes smoothly, please:

  • Provide clear directions and any gate codes or access details we’ll need
  • Make sure the drop-off area is accessible for our truck and free of vehicles, toys, or other obstacles
  • Clear snow and ice from driveways and paths during winter months
  • Tell us about hazards, such as soft ground, septic systems, underground sprinklers, or low-hanging branches
  • Secure your pets during delivery

If we can’t safely access your property or complete your delivery, we may need to reschedule. A re-delivery fee of [Insert Amount] may apply if the delay is caused by access problems on your end.

Property Care

Our trucks are heavy, and we take care when entering your property. We’ll follow your directions on where to drive and where to drop the wood. That said, we’re not responsible for damage to driveways, lawns, curbs, landscaping, or underground utilities when we follow your instructions or when hazards weren’t disclosed to us. If you have concerns about a surface, please mention it when you order.

Stacking Services

If you choose stacking services, we’ll stack your wood in the location you request, as long as it’s safe and reasonably accessible. Stacking fees are listed on our website or confirmed when you order. We’re not responsible for the condition of pre-existing firewood racks or structures.

Inspecting Your Delivery

Please look over your firewood when it arrives. If something looks off with the quantity or quality, let us know within [48 hours] of delivery. The sooner you tell us, the faster we can make it right.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancelling an Order

Plans change, and we understand that. You can cancel your order at no charge if you contact us at least [24 hours] before your scheduled delivery. Just call or email us, and we’ll issue a full refund.

If you cancel after that window, or after our truck has already been loaded or dispatched, a cancellation fee of [Insert Amount or Percentage] may apply to cover our costs.

Refunds and Our Quality Promise

We stand behind every cord we sell. If you have a problem with your firewood, contact us within [48 hours] of delivery. We may ask for photos or arrange a time to look at the wood ourselves.

If we confirm a genuine issue, such as a short delivery or wood that doesn’t meet our quality standards, we’ll make it right by:

  • Delivering the missing amount or replacement wood, or
  • Issuing a partial or full refund, depending on the situation

What Isn’t Covered

Because firewood is a natural product, we can’t offer refunds for:

  • Normal variation in size, shape, color, or species within the blend you ordered
  • Moisture absorbed after delivery due to storage conditions
  • Wood that has already been burned, except in cases of a confirmed quality issue
  • Change of mind after delivery is complete

How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, refunds usually appear within [5–10 business days].

6. Safe and Responsible Use

Fire is wonderful, but it demands respect. By buying our firewood, you agree to use it safely and responsibly. This includes:

  • Burning wood only in proper fireplaces, wood stoves, fire pits, or other approved equipment
  • Keeping your chimney and stove clean and well maintained
  • Following all local burn rules, fire bans, and safety regulations
  • Never leaving a fire unattended
  • Keeping children and pets at a safe distance from fires and woodpiles
  • Storing firewood away from your home’s foundation and any heat sources

We’re not responsible for injuries, property damage, or losses that result from improper use, storage, or handling of our firewood.

7. Limitation of Liability

We take great pride in our work and do everything we can to provide safe, quality firewood. However, to the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Our products and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind beyond those stated in these Terms.
  • We’re not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, property damage, or personal injury arising from the use or misuse of our products.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Some states don’t allow certain limits on liability. In those cases, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold harmless kilndriedfirewoodnearme.com, its owners, and its team from any claims, damages, or costs that arise from your misuse of our products, your violation of these Terms, or your failure to follow applicable laws.
